A new quarterly event for the Black Country
What started as a Birmingham networking night has grown into something bigger. T.I.P.S, co owned and hosted by Duke Renovations and Shropshire Design Studios, is launching a quarterly Black Country event with the same ethos and a sharper focus on domestic trades.
Where T.I.P.S Started
T.I.P.S stands for Trades, Interiors, Property and Services. We started it in Birmingham because the industry needed a room where people could actually talk to each other. No 60 second pitches, no forced referrals, no membership fees. Just good people, good conversation and relationships that turn into real work.
The events have grown steadily. Each one brings a bigger mix of tradespeople, interior designers, property investors, developers and service based businesses, and the feedback is always the same: this is how networking should feel.

The Black Country Quarterly Event
The new event keeps everything that makes T.I.P.S work: the relaxed format, the open door, the mix of trades, interiors, property and services. The difference is the emphasis. The Black Country has a huge community of domestic trades and trade companies, and this event is built around them.
The aim is simple. Get the people who work in and on homes in the same room, let them get to know each other properly, and make it easier to work together and share knowledge. The electrician who needs a reliable plasterer. The kitchen fitter who needs a decorator he can trust in a client's home. The trade company looking for subcontractors who actually care about the finish.
Domestic Trades First
